About the artwork
This work captures a curly gerbera in an expressive state of expansion, it’s curling petals radiating outward with a sense of motion and instability. Deep reds and subtle green accents emerge dramatically from the black background, emphasising the flower’s intricate structure and energetic rhythm. Through controlled lighting, the image moves beyond traditional floral representation and approaches abstraction, where texture and movement become central subjects.
